H.E. Khalid bin Ebrahim Al Hamar, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Korea, inaugurated the “The Pearl of Qatar” exhibition on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Korea.
H.E. the Ambassador delivered a speech on the occasion, praising the cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Korea, and pointed out that "the photo exhibition provides Korean citizens and visitors with a glimpse into the rich culture, traditions and heritage of the State of Qatar.
He stressed that this event will bring the Korean and Qatari peoples closer together, and represents an important step in developing Qatari-Korean relations in the field of culture, heritage and arts.
Mr. Oh Young-jin, Korea Times President-Publisher, also delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, praising the exhibition and the cooperation between the newspaper and the Embassy of the State of Qatar.
This exhibition was organized by the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Seoul with the participation of the Korea Times newspaper, at The Sharp Gallery in the Gangnam area. The exhibition will continue until July 4.
The exhibition includes 21 artworks by Choi Won-suk from the Korea Times newspaper, Yousuf Mubarak Al-Dosari, and Abdulla Hamdan Al-Mannai, photographers from the State of Qatar.
The opening ceremony was attended by a number of heads of Gulf and Arab missions in Seoul, in addition to an elite group of politicians, businessmen, and journalists.
