H.E Khalid bin Ebrahim Al-Hamar, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Korea, participated in the "WORLD IT SHOW 2026" exhibition held in the Korean capital, Seoul, where he reviewed the latest innovations and technologies in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and communications.

The Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Korea participated in the events of the Seoul Friendship Festival 2026, which is one of the most prominent international cultural events in the Korean capital, with extensive participation from diplomatic missions in the Republic of Korea. The Qatari pavilion witnessed a large turnout from visitors who learned about aspects of Qatari heritage and culture, including traditional hospitality, experiencing Qatari attire, and tasting Arabic coffee. This participation comes within the framework of the Embassy of the State of Qatar's keenness to enhance cultural exchange with the Korean people and to introduce Qatari culture in the Republic of Korea.

His Excellency Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Hamar, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Korea met with Dr. Lee Ki-jung, President of Hanyang University. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance academic and cultural cooperation and explored opportunities to further develop partnerships in the fields of education and scientific research, in a manner that supports knowledge exchange and cooperation between the two sides.

His Excellency Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Hamar, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Korea, participated in the 22nd Board of Directors Meeting of the Korea-Arab Society. During the meeting, a number of agenda items were discussed and approved, including the election of the Board of Directors, as well as a review of the programs implemented in 2025 and the plans and activities for 2026.

His Excellency Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Hamar, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Korea, participated in a meeting with Kim Seok-ki, Chair of the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea. The meeting was attended by several members of the National Assembly, as well as the ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan accredited to Seoul.

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a written message from HE President Lee Jae Myung of the Republic of Korea, expressing his country’s support and solidarity with the State of Qatar following the Iranian attacks on Qatar and several countries in the region. He also expressed hope to reach an agreement that would bring the current crisis to an end.
