The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Seoul, in partnership with the Korean Association for Middle Eastern Studies and Hankuk University for Foreign Studies, organized "Qatar Week” event as part of the embassy's celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Korea.

The event included an exhibition on Qatari culture, a presentation contest, and an essay writing contest by students of Arabic language, translation, and Middle Eastern studies at Korean universities.

The ceremony was honored by His Excellency Khalid bin Ebrahim Al Hamar, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Seoul, who presented awards to the winners of the contests.

The ceremony concluded with a speech by His Excellency the Ambassador, in which he touched on the development of relations between the two countries, which have reached the stage of a comprehensive strategic partnership.
