His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended Wednesday April11,2018 the reception held by the US-Qatar Business Council and the USA Chamber of Commerce, on the occasion of HH the Emir's visit to USA.

HH The Emir delivered a welcoming speech on the occasion, in which he highlighted the most prominent features of the Qatari-US economic cooperation. HH The Amir said that there are more than 650 US companies operating in Qatar and the size of trade cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United States reached $125 billion, and that the plan aims to double these figures in the near future.

HH The Emir pointed out that Qatar is the fastest growing economy in the Middle East and expressed the hope to work hand in hand with the United States.

On the occasion of this reception, HH The Emir met with HE President and Board Chairman of the US Chamber of Commerce Thomas Donohue , HE Vice President and CEO of the US Chamber of Commerce in the Middle East Khush Choksy, and HE President of the US-Qatar Business Council Ambassador Anne Patterson.
