The Embassy of the State of Qatar has organized a reception party on the occasion of Qatar’s National Day. H.E. kwon Deok cheol  Vice Minister of  Health and Social Welfare attended the reception together with high officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and some members of the parliament. Also present at the event were heads of Arab and Foreign Diplomatic Missions in Korea as well as Media Representative and Public Figures from various circles. The event was attended by some 600 guests.

The event was sponsored by 6 companies: Al-Sulaiti Law Firm, Qatar Gas, beIN Sports, Qatar Airways, Doha Bank and Four Seasons Hotel Doha.

On this occasion, H.E Ambassador Mohamed Abdulla Al-Dehaimi delivered a welcoming speech which reviewed the distinguished relations between the two countries in the political and commercial fields. He also praised the efforts made by the South Korean government to achieve peace on the Korean Peninsula.

He pointed out that the State of Qatar has fulfilled its full commitments in the field of energy towards the Republic of Korea and the world despite the unjust embargo imposed on it since June 2017.

For his part, HE Dr. Kwon Deok Cheol, representative of the Korean government, congratulated the State of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day and talked about cooperation between the two countries, especially in the medical field.

It is noted that the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Seoul held a special exhibition for the 2022 FIFA World Cup during the reception ceremony that was organized on the occasion of the country’s national day. The exhibition, attended by many people, displayed pictures of stadiums and audio-visual materials that show the stages of stadium construction and the ongoing preparations by leaps and bounds for the sake of making a successful event
