The Qatari capital Doha hosted the 2019 Qatari-Korean Medical symposium 2019 which was organized by Qatari Ministry of Defense.

The symposium was held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, in the presence of HE Lieutenant General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanim, Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces and HE Dr. H.E. Park Neunghoo, Minister of Health and Welfare (MOHW) of Korea.

Several medical institutions from both countries attended the symposium. A medical exhibition was held on the sidelines of the symposium
