The 5th Korea-Qatar High-Level Strategic Cooperation Committee Meeting was convened in the Qatari capital, Doha on Sunday 13th October 2019.
The Qatari delegation was headed by H.E. Ali bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Minister of Commerce and Industry, while H.E Sung Yun-mo, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy led the Korean delegation. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Qatari ministries and institutions concerned with bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting considered cooperation between the two countries in various fields within the framework of what has been agreed to during the Summit between His Highness The Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, and His Excellency Moon Jae in, president of the Republic of Korea on January 2019.
The committee looked into the means of consolidation of the joint cooperation and the developments related to the implementation of the agreements reached during the previous meetings. The meeting also considered the various fields of cooperation including economic, trade, investment, industry, agriculture, infrastructure, and energy.
On the sidelines of the meeting, a Business Forum was held with the participation of 18 South Korean companies and 50 Qatari companies.
