The Embassy of the State of Qatar has organized a reception party on the occasion of Qatar’s National Day.

HE Park Bo Gyoon Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism attended the reception together with HE Chung WooTaik Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and high officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Also present at the event were heads of Arab and Foreign Diplomatic Missions in Korea as well as Media Representative and Public Figures from various circles.

On this occasion, H.E Ambassador Khalid bin Ebrahim Al Hamar delivered a welcoming speech, in which he talked about the importance of the National Day for the Qatari people and the meanings of loyalty to the sacrifices made by the founding fathers, in addition to the meanings of solidarity between the loyal people of Qatar and its wise leadership. He also touched on the importance of this year's National Day due to its coincidence with the World Cup, through which the State of Qatar showed impressive organizational, administrative, security and sports capabilities. His Excellency also reviewed the distinguished relations between the two countries in the political and commercial fields.

For his part, H.E. Park Bo Gyoon, representative of the Korean government, congratulated the State of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day and praised the State of Qatar for the amazing organization of the World Cup, in addition to the great achievements in the cultural field. His Excellency also expressed his wish to expand cultural exchanges between the two countries, especially since the State of Qatar has all the elements such as ancient traditions and wise leadership, to become a pioneering country in the cultural field.

It is noted that the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Seoul held a special exhibition for the 2022 FIFA World Cup during the reception. The exhibition, attended by many people, displayed pictures of stadiums and promotional materials.

In addition, another exhibition was organized to show the cultural heritage, traditions and customs of the State of Qatar. The ceremony also witnessed the presentation of a video on the renaissance witnessed by the country in recent years.
