A round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Korea was held in the Korean capital Seoul. The Qatari delegation was headed by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, while Korean side was headed by HE First Vice Foreign Minister Choi Jong Kun.

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi met in Seoul on Wednesday with HE First Deputy Director of the National Security Office (NSO) at the Presidential Office of the Republic of Korea Suh Choo-suk.

H.E. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jong Kun, met with H.E. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Hamar, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Korea.

H E Mr. Lee Chee-ik, Chairman of the Qatar-Korean Friendship Committee, congratulated the State of Qatar on the success of the first legislative elections.

HE Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Hamar, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Seoul, met with HE Lee Chi-ik, President of the Qatar-Korean Parliamentary Friendship committee, at the Korean Parliament.

H.E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Subaie, Minister of Municipality and Environment & Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs visited the Republic of Korea on October 7 and 8, 2021, during which he witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the State of Qatar represented by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, and the he Global Green Growth Institute, on cooperation on climate change adaptation and green growth.

His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Hayki, met with Dr. Ryo Sang-dai Deputy Governor of the Bank of Korea.

His Excellency Mohammed bin Ahmad Al-Hayki, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Korea visited the headquarters of Hyundai Heavy Industries Company in Ulsan, and met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company, during which he was briefed on the industrial competencies of the company in the field of shipyards and marine platforms.

His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed bin Ahmad Al-Hayki visited the headquarters of the Korea Times. His Excellency met with the President and Director of Publishing, Mr. O Young Jin.
