HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met on Friday with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Kang Kyung-wha, during his official visit to Korea.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met here on Friday with HE Ban Ki-moon, the President and Chair of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), during his visit to the Republic of Korea.

HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Lee Nak-yeon met Thursday with HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, during His Excellency's official visit to Korea.

The unprecedented Gulf crisis resulting from closing of sea, land and air borders and imposing a blockade on the State of Qatar by Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain has entered its second year.

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani officially received the mantle of hosting the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup from HE President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, in the presence of HE President of International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) Gianni Infantino, in a ceremony held in the Kremlin Palace on Sunday.

A youth Delegation from Qatari Ministry of Culture and Sports, visited South Korea during the period 11th – 19 July,2018. The Visit came within the framework of mutual cooperation between the two countries.

Four Arab Countries, namely Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut their relationships and their maritime, land and air borders with the State of Qatar and imposed un unethical and illegal blockade on the State of Qatar On June,5th,2017. These countries also took measures including expulsion of Qatari citizens from the three Gulf Countries within no later than 14 days, and asked their citizens to leave the State of Qatar within two weeks and not to visit Qatar, in addition to other measures. With the illegal and unethical blockade entering its second year, it is imperative to highlight the humanitarian impacts of the blockade which has been violating the individual and family rights of Qatari citizens, and their rights to education, movement, health, work and personal properties:

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani affirmed that the State of Qatar is stronger than it was before the blockade, stressing that it is time to end this unfortunate chapter in the history of the Gulf. It is time for the blockading nations to abandon their delusions of victory, prioritize the security interests of the entire Middle East, His Excellency added.

The State of Qatar has participated in Medical Korea Exihibtion2018 organized by The Korean Health Industry Development Institute, under the auspice of The Korean Ministry of Health, during May 9 – 11th 2018.

The embassy participated in the opening ceremony of the 11th Arab Culture Festival on Wednesday May 2nd 2018,. The festival was held in Seoul and took place between May 2nd and 6th of the same year.
